A communique says: “The war is not nearing an end. It will be continued as long as is necessary to make Spain safe for Spaniards.” HITLER AND FRANCO WARM CONGRATULATIONS. (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) BERLIN, January 27. Herr Hitler sent a telegram to General Franco: “Congratulations upon your brilliant victory and liberation of Barcelona. I hope the victory will soon bring peace to the Spanish people and begin a new era for National Spain." CZECHS IN LINE RECOGNITION OF REBELS. (Received this Day, 11.15 a.m.) PRAGUE, January 27. It is officially announced that the Government is recognising Franco and breaking off relations with the Republicans.
