SALES CAMPAIGN

RETAILERS’ EFFORT IN MARCH. A further general meeting of Masterton retailers held last night decided to carry out the plan previously considered for a co-operative sales effort in March directed to the buying of articles for the home. The campaign will take place from Friday, March 10, to Saturday, March 25, and will include a window display competition among participating firms, various competitions for the public and an essay competition for secondary and primary school pupils. A judge of the window displays will be provided through the courtesy of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Ltd., Wellington, and at a suitable time prior to the competition he will be asked to visit Masterton and lecture those interested on various aspects of modern display. The windows will be judged on Wednesday, March 22. Messrs J. Bouzaid, Bell and Hayne were added to the committee.
