HANDSOME ROSE BOWL

PRESENTED BY MR AND MRS W. H. BIRD. FOR PONY EVENTS AT MAURICEVILLE SPORTS. A handsome rose bowl has been presented to the Mauriceville Sports Club by Mr and Mrs W. H. Bird, of Mauriceville, for the annual competition in the pony events at the Mauriceville Sports Club’s meeting, riders 15yrs and under to be eligible to take part. A condition is that a rider must have competed at three or more sports meetings in the Wairarapa or Bush districts, but only the points scored at Mauriceville will count for the trophy. The Rose Bowl, which will be presented to the winner at the annual social and dance held by the club in the evening,, is on view in the shop window of Mr L. S. Nicol’s establishment in Queen Street.
