OVERSEAS VISITORS

ONTARIO MINISTERS. AND AUSTRALIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. January 20. A State luncheon was tendered at the Grand Hotel today to Mr S. M. Bruce, Commonwealth High Commissioner in London. Mr Mitchell Hepburn, Premier of Ontario, Mr Campbell, Minister of Public Works, Ontario, and Mr Walters, Deputy-Treas-urer, Ontario, who arrived by the Mariposa on their way to Australia. The Hon P. Fraser represented the Government, meeting the visitors and acting as host at the luncheon. Mr Bruce is returning after an absence of four and a half years to renew contact with the Federal Government. Later he returns to London to resume his work as High Commissioner. He is accompanied by his wife and private secretary. Ihe Canadian party intends examining social legislation in Australia, particularly the operations of the Commonwealth Bank. Its members will return a month hence and will spend another day in Auckland, meeting representatives of the Government.
