GOOD FISHING BAG. (“Times-Age” Special.) Fishing in the Makakahi River on Wednesday morning and the Mangatainoka River in the afternoon. Captain Hamilton Nimmo. of Wellington, who has been the guest of Mr and Mrs Gordon Smith, Hamua, took the limit bag of twelve fish. The catch was all the more remarkable in that Captain Nimmo was fishing in practically impossible weather conditions and with a dry fly. In the morning Captain Nimmo took eight fish, while in the afternoon he was again successful, taking four fish from the Mangatainoka River. All the fish were in excellent condition, and of a good size, two being particularly fine, one weighing over four pounds. Outbreak of Measles. Cases of measles continue to be reported in the district. Personal. Mr and Mrs A. Turner, former residents of Pongomai, have returned to New Zealand, and are the guests of Mr R. A. Evans, of Rongomai. Fire at Rongokokako. A fire on Thursday afternoon destroyed the wash house and implement shed at the farm of Mr A. T. Cooper, Rongokokako. Some harness in the shed was destroyed. The heat of the fire broke some windows in the house but no other damage is reported.
