TINUI SPORTS
ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME. The Tinui Foresters' Sports Club will hold their annual sports on February 4 in Mr H. Bennett’s paddock. Events are timed to commence with men’s tilting at 10 a.m. A very large programme has been drawn up and as in past years the prizes are indeed attractive. Children’s, athletic and horse events are being well catered for and all Wairarapa families should enjoy a day in the open at the Tinui Sports. An event that should draw large entries is the East Coast Tug-o-war Championship —teams of five men with average weight of 121st. per man. Pillow fights, sheep-guessing, chain stepping and ladies’ nail-driving contests are also included in the programme. The Tinui Hall will be the scene of a gala dance on the night of the sports, and with the Blue River Dance Band supplying the music, this should conclude an enjoyable day.
