A BLISTERED HEEL

HOW TO TREAT IT. Bathe blister with warm boracic lotion, using a swab of cotton-wool and then, having sterilised a needle, run it under the skin a quarter of an inch from the blister and bring it out at the other side a quarter of an inch away. Remove the needle and swab away any fluid which runs out. Do not remove the loose skin as ibis protects the tender skin underneath. Apply acriflavine solution and then baracic ointment on a smooth piece of lint or washed linen, and hold it in place with adhesive tape or bandage. The greatest care must be exercised to keep dye from shoes or stockings coming in contact with the blistered skin.
