FEATHERSTON
AN ALARM OF FIRE.
OUTBUILDING DAMAGED.
("Times-Age” Special.)
The Fire Brigade received a call at 9.30 o’clock on Saturday night to a fire which had broken out in an outbuilding near the residence of Miss Bessie Donald.
The brigade was quickly on the scene, and extinguished the fire before much damage was done. The cause of the outbreak is unknown.
Card Party and Dance at Kahutara. There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the Kahutara Hall on Saturday night. The music was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra. The winners in connection with the euchre tournament were: Ladies, Mrs Matinga 1, Miss L. Matinga 2. Men: Mr Pearson 1, Mr A. Feast 2. The Lucky Spot dance was won by Mr B. Herrick and Miss B. Simmonds.
Personal Items.
Mrs A. R. Bloxam, of Wairoa, is the guest of Mr and Mrs H. R. Bloxam. Mr B. Cumpspy, of Trinity College, Auckland, is 4 , visiting Mr and Mrs Harvey, Mangatete.
