BOWLING MATCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) During the weekend two rinks of bowlers from Woburn visited Featherston. The visitors won both games by a margin of one point in each case, after very interesting play. The following are the teams and scores (Woburn players being mentioned first): —Lever, Adams, Williams, Collins (s), beat Robinson, Murray, Hyland, Deas (s), 2221; Hounsell, Cooper, Lawless, Wyath (s), beat Roxburgh, Lipinski, Higgison, Bloxam (s), 23-22. Girl Guides Camp. About fifteen Girl Guides from Featherston, who will be joined by others ’ from Wellington and ' Martinborough. left today to go into camp
near Masterton. Personal. The two Misses Harper (Wellington) are the guests of Mrs Stewart Reid, Kahutara for a few days. An Unusual Motor Accident. While a motorist was repairing a puncture in a wheel on the top of the Rimutaka Hill on Sunday, by some means or other, the jack slipped and penetrated the petrol tank. With the aid of chewing gum, the leak was sufficiently stopped to enable the motorist to reach a garage where the tan^,. was repaired.
