HEALTH STAMPS
IMPROVEMENT IN PUBLIC’S RESPONSE. I MASTERTON SALES TO DATE. With the near approach of Christmas, the Health Stamp appeal on behalf of Children’s Health Camps has met with increasingly generous support. Diming the first week of December an additional £5OO was obtained throughout New Zealand for the various Health Camp organisations as the result of the sale of 102,546 health stamps, and the receipts for nine weeks since the opening of the appeal have now reached almost £5,000. Organised effort in many centres has greatly improved the results by bringing the health stamp with its “Id for postage, and Id for health” more directly under the notice of Post Office customers, who appreciate this easy method of contributing towards a highly necessary and wellconducted movement for the children’s benefit.
The sales of health stamps in Masterton up to yesterday total £45, accounted for as follow: Up to the end November' £32; during November £10; December 1 to December 20, £l3. Only one donation has been made to the fund.
