OBITUARY

MR KENNETH R. WRIGHT. Mr Kenneth R. Wright, of Martinborough, who died at the Masterton Hospital on December 7, after a short illness, was a native of Runanga, West Coast, and was 24 years of age. He was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Archie Wright, of Martinborough, and resided with his parents. Of a quiet and generous nature, he was one of the most popular young men in the district. He was a-prominent member of the Martinborough Miniature Rifle Club, and for the past twelve months had shot very consistently in the A team. He was also a member of the Amateur Radio Club and was a keen worker for both organisations. At the time of his death the late Mr Wright was employed by Mr A. B. Martin. The funeral took place at the Martinborough Cemetery on December *9, and was very largely attended. Many beautiful floral tributes, along with numbers of telegrams and letters, bore witness of the popularity in which Mr Wright was held by all. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev Father Heavey. The pall-bearers were: Messrs R. J. Wright, R. McGaffin, K. Feist, S. Harvey, F. Brassel and I. Howatt, members of the Rifle and Radio clubs. Mr Wright is survived by his parents, one sister, Roma, and a brother Graeme, for whom much sympathy is felt.
