FORESTERS’ LODGE

♦ FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS. The fortnightly meeting of Court Loyal Enterprise Ancient Order of Foresters was held last evening. The Chigf Ranger Bro T. N. N. Coley presided over a fair attendance. Bro R. Walker reported that the sick members he had visited were progressing favourably. Bro W. J. Rodgers, who is Mayor of Wanganui, wrote conveying the season’s greeting from Mrs Rodgers and himself. Bro J. Barr reported on the Dispensary Board meeting. Bro R. Walker reported that the attendance at the Saturday night card tournaments was keeping up fairly well. In view of the Christmas holidays intervening it was decided that the next mortnightly meeting should lapse, and that the secretary be authorised to pay out the necessary sick pay. Current sick pay and accounts amounting to £l6O Is lid were passed for payment. At the conclusion of business the following officers for 1939 were installed: C.R. Bro C. A. Leigh; S.C.R. Bro H. Stewart; S.W. Bro R Walker; S.B. Bro G. Selby; J.B. Bro H. Smith; Secretary, Bro G. L. Scrivener; Treasurer, Bro Q. G. Jackson. The J.W., Bro S. V. Sharman, who was unavoidably absent is to be installed at the next meeting.
