MASTERTON MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Judgment for plaintiff by default was. given in the Masterton Magistrate’s Court this morning, by Mr H. P. Lawry. S.M., in the following civil cases:—Commissioner of Taxes v Kingi Peneha, 17s 7d, costs 10s; Para Rubber Co., Ltd. v T. O'Connor, £3 14s, costs £1 Ils 6d; J. T. Hills v J. D. Baldwin, £272 13s lid, costs £ll 4s;; H._E. Either v E. H. Doherty, £3 ss, costs £1 4s fid; Jenkins Motor Services, Ltd. v William Brown. £34 Is 3d, costs £4 3s fid; Robert Lambert v George Remnant, £1 15s, costs Bs. In a judgment summons case, Mauriceville Stores. Ltd. v G. A. Gregory, defendant was ordered to pay £2O 15s 4d forthwith, in default 18 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended as long as defendant pays £1 per week.
In the case of Gordon Hughan, Ltd. v C. Gartner, defendant was ordered to pay £8 15s 2d forthwith and solicitor’s fee 15s Cd, in default 8 days' imprisonment.
