BUSH HERD TESTING. AVERAGES FOR NOVEMBER. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following is a summary of group 30-day averages for all cows tested during November, by the Bush Cooperative. Herd Testing Association, supplied by the secretary, Mr J. C. Car-

The association average for 4012 cows tested during November was 9281 b milk, 4.6 test, 42.31 b fat. METHODIST CHURCH. SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. The anniversary services in connection with the Methodist Church were largely attended and most successful, settlers from various parts of the district being present. The Rev. W. Moore, of Pahiatua, was the preacher in the afternoon. He took for the subject of his address the story of Joseph, suiting it well to the intelligence of his youthful hearers. He said, in commenting on his invitation to give the anniversary address, that he had attended many anniversary services, some small and some very large, but in none had he heard such sweet and melodious singing. That must have been the opinion of all who were privileged to hear it. The children, assisted by the choir, were trained by Mr J. F. Baillie, who is to be congratulated on the excellence of their singing. A solo by Dulcie Boustead and a duet by Maureen McNab and Jean Waterreus were greatly appreciated, the choir assisting in both instances. Miss Muriel Smith was at the organ, and Mr J. F. Baillie ably conducted the choir at all services. The Rev. R. P. Keall occupied the pulpit at the evening service.
