“HEAVILY COMMITTED”
MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD FUNDS. TAUERU ROAD SEALING. The District Engineer, Public Works Department, advised the Masterton County Council at its meeting yesterday, that as the Main Highway’s Board funds were already heavily committed, it did not appear possible to authorise the additional reconstruction and sealing work on the Bennett’s Hill to Taueru section of the Masterton-Castle-point Main Highway. The board was not in a position to anticipate next year’s funds. “We can’t do anything about that,” commented Councillor H. H. Mawley. The letter was received.
