GIRL GLIDES
MASTERTON ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the Masterton Girl Guides’ Association was held in the Lecture Room of the Municipal Buildings yesterday afternoon.
Mrs J. H. Irving (president) presided and there were also present Mesdames Ractliffe, Gaskin, 1 , Hill, Forsyth, Garland, Lawson, Stewart, Hodder and Miss Nora Ractliffe. An apology for absence was received from Mrs Corskie.
A motion of sympathy was passed with Miss Agnes Mannell in connection with a bereavement in her family.
Miss Ractliffe (District Captain) outlined plans for the forthcoming camp, which will be held at Waikanae and stressed the need for more up-to-date and efficient equipment. The executive decided to donate £5 towards this effort. The Weraiti Brownie Pack will hold their final meeting next Saturday when a programme of games and songs will be held. Parents and friends are invited to be present at this meeting. Mrs G. Hill was reappointed a delegate to the provincial meetings for the ensuing year.
Mrs Irving wished all members of the executive the season’s compliments before closing the meeting.
