FATALLY SHOT

WOMAN’S DEATH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWERA, December 3. With a .22 calibre rifle beside her and a bullet wound in the chest, Mrs Alice Bertha Andrews was found by her 'husband outside their farmhouse at Mere Mere yesterday afternoon. She was admitted to hospital and died there last evening. It is understood that Mrs Andrews made a statement that she intended to shoot birds, and accidentally sfiot herself. No further details are available. Mr Andrews left home at 11 a.m. and when he returned at 3 p.m. he found his wife lying seriously wounded near the house.
