TOLL CIRCUITS

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES AT MASTERTON.

The Director-General, Post and Telegraph Department (Mr G. McNamara), advises that two additional toll circuits have been provided at Masterton exis connected with the Eketahuna exchange, giving two direct MastertonEketahUna outlets, and the other has been allocated to Masterton-Pahiatua traffic, giving three direct lines between those exchanges. The new circuits, which were brought into use on Thursday, will assist materially in disposing of the very considerable volume of toll traffic between the exchanges concerned, and will.also permit of calls switched by the respective offices being much more expeditiously handled.
