MISS BETTY COLEMAN'S PUPILS. All who are interested in children’s work should make a point of attending the annual recital to be given by Betty Coleman, L.T.C.L., in the Opera House tonight. Miss Coleman has a splendid reputation in. children’s productions and this year’s recital promises to maintain the standard set in fomrer years. An item of particular interest will be an original arrangement of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," written by Miss Coleman. The popular Snow White songs will be a feature of this item. Two delightfully coloured musical scenes, “The Pretty Little Patchwork Quilt” and “It’s Only a Beautiful Picture,” together with a Japanese song and dance will add variety. Humorous recitations, musical monologues, songs and action poems are interspersed with verse-speaking and other items. The pupils from Hadlow Preparatory School will be seen in a delightful adaptation from one of A. A. Milne’s stories. The ever popular Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet Tigger and Christopher Robin should delight young and old alike. The assisting artists are Mrs Richard Bradley (Wellington), the winner of the New Zealand grand aria contest, and Miss Jean Mac Kay, who is always popular with her piano-accordion. The plan is filling rapidly at Arts and Crafts. The prices are 2s and Is 6d and Is for children, with no charge for booking.
