ATTACK ON BRITAIN
NO GUARANTEE OF AID FROM EMPIRE. REPLY TO LABOUR MEMBER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, Noon). LONDON, November 21. Mr Chamberlain, in the House of Commons informed Mr F. Lee (Labour) that none .of the Dominions or colonies had given a written or implied pledge or guarantee to come to Britain’s assistance in the event of attack. Mr Lee last week gave notice to ask the Premier in the House of Commons on November 21 whether any pledge *jr guarantee, written or implied, has been given by the Dominions and colonies, severally or collectively, that in the event of an attack on the United Kingdom they will go to the assistance of Great Britain.
