PLUNDERING THE JEW

OFFICIAL ACTION IN BERLIN RETAIL AND OTHER SHOPS TAKEN OVER. FEW OF THOSE ARRESTED RELEASED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.)’ BERLIN, November 21. It was announced tonight that 3767 Jewish retail shops were being handed over to Aryans at an official valuation; also 2650 workshops. Jewish owners of real estate have been warned that administrators will deal with their property in future. It is believed that all mixed marriages between Jews and Aryans will shortly be automatically dissolved. Only a few of the thousands of Jews arrested during the recent pogroms have yet been released. Even Jews possessing invalid emigration papers are still held —for instance a prominent lawyer, Dr Gottgettreu, who has a permit from the British Home Office to live in England for three months before going to America. The Bourse continues to be adversely affected by recent events. An alarming increase in crimes of violence throughout the country has brought a decree authorising the immediate trial of culprits before a special court. ♦
