GOLF CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the golf club was held on Monday evening, there being a good attendance of club members, Mr S. Gray being in the chair. The president’s report was received. The balance sheet showed a credit of approximately £22, which was considered very satisfactory. The election of officers for the incoming year resulted as follows:—President, Mr S. Gray; vice-presidents, Messrs P. Kummer and N. Foreman; handicapper, Mr N. Kummer; trustees, Messrs F. C. Cotter and S. Gray; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. C. Cotter; auditor, Mr R. L. McKinstry; club captain, Mr S. Gray; vice-captain, Mr I. McGregor; ladies’ captain, Mrs Schofield; committee, Mrs Schofield and Mrs I. McGregor, Messrs S. Gray, A. McGregor, N. Kummer, H. Winter and F. C. Cotter.

In recognition of his services to the club since its inception, Mr B. F. Schofield was elected an honorary life member of the club. Several of the local rules were amended, and it was decided that certain improvements to the links should be undertaken.

A vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs F. Read and F. C. Cotter for the use of their properties over which the links are situated. It was resolved that the subscription for the year be the same as in previous years, namely, ladies 5s and men 10s. Shearing Operations. Shearing is in full swing in the district and with the continued fine weather it is expected that most sheds will be “cut out” sooner than was expected. It is the general opinion that the clip this year is well up to the average, and that the sheep are coming out of the wool in a good and healthy condition.
