ALFREDTON
GOLF SEASON CLOSED. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The members of the Alfredton Golf Club closed the season on Sunday. The weather was favourable and an enjoyable time was enjoyed. The club captain, Mr Reg. Kebbell, thanked the donors of cups and trophies, and also congratulated those who had won them. Mr Harold Kebbell then briefly addressed the gathering, and Mrs Harold Kebbell presented the prizes. The ladies’ championship cup, presented by Mr Lewis, was won by Miss A. Morrison.
The Cecil Kebbell Cup, for the senior championship, was won by Mr Hugh Burch.
The intermediate cup, presented by Mr Harold Kebbell, was won by Mr Lewis, and Mr Weston won the junior cup presented by Mr J. A. Smith. The Greathead Cup was won by Mr Jim Morrison whose golf has shown wonderful improvement this season.
Miss A. Morrison and Mrs Scott Raleigh won the Strachan Bowl. Other trophies were won by Miss A. Morrison, Mrs S. Raleigh, Mrs Weston and Donald Hay.
