ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY

TONIGHT’S GENERAL MEETING. A reminder is given of the special general meeting of members of the Masterton Orchestral Society, both active and honorary, to be held in the Savage Club Rooms, Perry Street, tonight. The death of the hon conductor, rhe late Mr J. Candy, was a very serious loss to the society and his place will be hard to fill. The business of the meeting will be to consider the question of a successor and the position of the society in general. The circumstances demand the practical and personal support of everyone having the interests of the society at heart. The committee earnestly hopes for a large attendance, and all interested in good music in general and the Masterton Orchestral Society in particular are invited to attend this evening’s meeting.
