PLUNKET SOCIETY
CARTERTON BRANCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Carterton branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday. There were present Mesdames. Steel, Dyer, Callender, Campbell, Udy, V. L. Robinson and Trapp. Apologies_ for absence were received from Mesdames Keenan, Lawrence and Philpotts. Before commencing the meeting motions of condolence with Mrs Quentin Donald, the relatives of Mrs C. L. Reyno, ds and of Mrs Suckling were passed, members standing in silence. The nurses’ report for October was: New cases 9, breast fed 5, complemented 1, artificially fed 3; visits to homes, .new cases 22, old cases 100; visits to rooms, adults 144, babies 114, children 33, telephone calls 32, scales lent twice, car mileage 529. Further remits for the conference in Wellington, to which Mesdames Campbell and Trapp are delegates, were read and discussed.
Accounts amounting to £23 6s 8d r-r-n passed for payment.
