WEEKEND GAOL PROPOSAL AUSTRALIAN MINISTER’S VIEW By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Weekend gaol for drunken drivers is not advocated by the Minister of Transport, Lieut-Col M. F. Bruxner. Commenting on the Hon R. Semple’s proposal, Colonel Bruxner, said: “Weekend gaol would stop them going to the beaches or to the races. I know what I would like to do with drunken drivers, and it would not only be for the weekend.”
