PADDY'S MARKET A SUBSTANTIAL PROFIT (“Times-Age” Special) A special meeting of the stall holders of the recent Paddy’s Market was held on Thursday afternoon in the Parish Hall. Mrs E. Graham (secretary) reported that it was expected that the final figures would show a profit of £lOO. Mrs A. H. York (president of the guild) extended her thanks to all who had helped to make Paddy’s Market so successful. • Personal Items. Mrs D. P. Loasby, of Udy Street, has returned from a visit to Palmerston North. Mrs W. Grigg, of Kuratawhiti Street, who has been visiting Palmerston North and Wellington; has returned home.'
Messrs E. Partridge, N. G. Johnson and G. H. Stubbs, inspectors of the Wellington Education Board, paid an official visit to the Greytown District High School yesterday. Mrs J. F. Thompson and Miss A. Thompson left today for Nelson by air. Mr B. Kiernan, Greytown’s representative at the New Zealand golf championship, now being held at Dunedin, is doing very well, his scores for the first two rounds being 81, 78, 159.
