ACQUISITION BY BRITISH GOVERNMENT FORMATION OF PUBLIC CORPORATION By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, November 11. • In the House of Commons the Secretary of State for Air, Sir Kingsley Wood, announced that the Government was introducing legislation establishing a public corporation, to acquire Imperial Airways and British Airways. In making his announcement, Sir Kingsley Wood said the Government had reached the conclusion that a most satisfactory instrument for the developmen of overseas civil aviation communications would be provided by the association of the two companies in a public corporation.
