CHURCH SERVICES

At St Matthew’s Church tomorrow those who were confirmed last Sunday will make their first Communion at 8 a.m., and all communicants are asked to join with them in that great service. The annual Fellowship Breakfast will follow in the Parish Hall. Children’s service will be held at 10.30 a.m., and at 7 p.m. the vicar will preach on “An Armistice Message.” Services will be held also at 7 p.m. at Kuripuni and Upper Plain. The opportunity of hearing a noted preacher and lecturer from Canada will be given on Sunday evening, when Dr A. G. Hall, the DirectorGeneral of the World’s Fellowship of Faith and Service will be the preacher in the Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Dr Hall comes with a great reputation as a preacher, and all are invited to hear him. The preacher in the morning will be the Rev Fred J. Parker, and the subject, “Can God Really be Near?” At 3 p.m. the church choir will give a service of song, at the public hospital. The Kuripuni services will be conducted by Pastor C. H. Skuse. The speaker at the Salvation Army services tomorrow will be Major Mamaffie, his morning subject being "Making Our Religion Attractive," and at the evening address "Eternal Security.” The usual Gospel Service will be held in the Ruhamah Gospel Hall on Sunday evening.
