UNHAPPY REFUGEES
JOURNEYING TO LIBERIA ON CATTLE SHIP. ABOMINABLE CONDITIONS. (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) BUCHAREST, November 8. Five hundred Sudeten German Jewish refugees have embarked at. Constanza on a steamer bound for Liberia. The Health Commissioner reported that, contrary to the owners’ declaration, the vessel was not a passenger ship, but a cattle ship. There were no sanitary irrangements, no doctor and no medical supplies.
