CENTENARY CAMPAIGN

MASTERTON TOTAL NOW £3360.

APPRECIATION EXPRESSED BY BISHOP.

The Bishop of Wellington when he visited Masterton on Sunday expressed his appreciation of the great work that was-being done by the Masterton citizens, and church committees for the Centenary Campaign, and his thanks for the splendid response that was being made. The Masterton total continues to grow and yesterday notification: was received by the Citizens’ Committee of a most generous donation of £4OO for the new cathedral. This brings the Masterton total from all sources : to £3360.

The Bishop also stated on Sunday that as a result of a visit abroad radical changes had been made by the architect in the design of the building, and the new plans revealed a cathedral really worthy of the capital city of the Dominion.
