GOLF SEASON CLOSED. WAIRARAPA LADIES’ CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The lady members of the Wairarapa Golf Club brought the season to a close on Saturday. C grade championship, Mrs Parker; runner-up, Mrs Pope. Victoria Cup, Mrs Parker. Victoria Shield, Mrs Parker. L.G.U. silver medal, Mrs Collins. L.G.U. bronze medal, Mrs Parker. Senior eclectic, Miss Pearce: junior eclectic, Miss Hood. Kahutara Social Club. The Kahutara Social Club’s dance and euchre tournament on Saturday night was well attended. The euchre winners were: Ladies, Mrs, W. Himona 1, Mrs S. Himona 2. Men, Mr A. Feast 1, Mr Matinga 2. Cricket Matches. Two cricket matches were played in the reserve on Sunday, when both the home teams were defeated. , Featnerston scored 146 against Pihautea, who compiled 206. Pirates made 49 against Belvedere 96. Personals. Mrs S. J. Hocking, Hastings, who has been visiting relatives in Wellington, is now the guest of her sister, Mrs A. P. A. Clapshaw, Ludlam Street. Miss O. Harvey, Kahutara, has returned from a visit to relatives in Palmerston North.

Mr Arthur Tocker, “Lowlands,” is reported to be seriously ill.
