GREYTOWN

The Paddy’s Market, which was organised by the Ladies’ Guild of St Luke’s Church, was held in the Crown Theatre on Friday and proved a decided success, the sum of £94 being taken. The Rev J. T. Holland, Vicar of Featherston, officially opened the fair in the presence of a large attendance. Carter (piano accordion) and the pupils of the Greytown District High School. Mr Mark Maxton returned to his home on Saturday after having been for several weeks a patient in the Greytown Hospital. Mr E. H. Trotman, who has been in the Greytown Hospital for several months, will leave by aeroplane for Rotorua on Wednesday from the Masterton Aerodrome. Mr Trotman, who is over 80 years of age, fell and broke his hip some months ago, and can only get about with help. He feels he would be unable to stand the long journey by either car or train, so has made arrangements for a plane to take him. A few years ago Mr Trotman flew to Auckland, and he is eagerly looking forward to his trip on Wednesday.
