LUCKY ESCAPE

CAR SOMERSAULTS FOUR TIMES.

ACCIDENT ON CARTERTON, ROAD.

Four occupants of a light car had a remarkable escape from serious injury on Saturday evening when the car got out of control and somersaulted four time on a bend on the Carterton road.

The owner of the car, Mr J. Miller, said the steering gear locked as the car rounded the bend near .the Clareville Racecourse. The car was extensively damaged and it is amazing how the occupants could have escaped so lightly. The driver was Mr J. Allen and the only person to suffer any injury was Mr Miller, who received minor cuts to the face.
