WEDDING

HAUSMAN—LARNACH. At the Methodist Church on Saturday, October 22, Irene Grace, second daughter of Mr and the late Mrs D. Larnach, of Wellington, was married to Claude Stanley, youngest son of Mr and Mrs A. Hausman, of Masterton. The Rev F. J. Parker officiated, and during the ceremony the hymn “Oh Perfect Love” was sung. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle (in the unavoidable absence of her father), looked charming in a white satin gown cut on classical lines, falling away to a long fagotted train. Her tulle veil was worn halo fashion, with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of roses, lilies and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Joan Jeffry, of Wellington (chief) and Miss Enid Larnach, sister of the bride. Their frocks were mauve and pink, respectively, and were fashioned with a high waistline and short puff sleeves with silver lame bows down the front and silver lame cuffs, collar and belt. They wore halos to match and carried bouquets of roses sweet peas and maiden-hair fern. .

The bridegroom was attended by Mr Clarence McGurk as best man and Mr Jack Dixon as groomsman. As the bride left the church she was presented with a silver horseshoe "by Margaret Cross, niece of the bride.

After the wedding a reception was held at the Empire Hotel, where the bride’s sister, Mrs R. Cross, assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, Mrs Hausman, received the guests. Mrs Cross wove a dress of floral crepe with a navy swagger coat and hat, shoes ana gloves to match. Mrs Hausman wore a floral frock with navy lace coat and hat, shoes and gloves to match. They both carried bouquets to tone.

Mr and Mrs Hausman left later by motor car on a tour of the north, the bride wearing a navy floral frock with navy coat, hat and accessories. Mr and Mrs Hausman’s future home will be in Eketahuna.
