WOMEN’S DIVISION
MASTERTON BRANCH MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the rooms, King Street, on Wednesday last. Mrs Ken Groves presided, and the following members were present: Mesdames Alex Donald, Wright, lorns, Cameron, Barrer, Ross, McLean, W. James, C. C. Jackson, A. B. Cottle and Howard, and rhe hon secretary, Mrs Rue. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Engstrom and Stewart. It was decided to pay' rhe, annual visit to the hospital on Tuesday, December 13, at 2 p.m., when afternoon tea will be served to the patients. 'A shop day is to be held on Wednesday, December >7, in the Occidental Mart in aid of the Rest Home, Palmerston North, and the branch would be glad of small Christmas gifts, produce, cakes, etc. Contributions to the jumble stall would be thankfully received. Afternoon tea was served, by the hostesses, Mesdames Groves and lorns, and was much enjoyed.
