GOLF SEASON DRAWING TO CLOSE. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) As the golf season is drawing to a close most of the competitions have been completed, and on Saturday Mrs A. McGregor defeated Mrs McKinstry in the final for the ladies’ handicap cup. The Nimmo Cup and the Kummerstein Cup series are now completed, Mrs Schofield winning the Kummerstein Cup, and Mr A. McGregor wins the Nimmo Cup. On Saturday afternoon a Stableford bogey was played. Mrs I. McGregor won the ladies’ competition with 42 and S. Gray the men’s with 36. Next playing day will be the occasion of the annual golf competitions when liberal prizes will be given for driving, putting, and approaching and putting competitions. The official closing will take place on Saturday, October 29, and the club issues an invitation to all kindred clubs to be present.
