Y.M.C.A. BANQUET. Elaborate preparations for the annual Father and Son banquet are being made at the Y.M.C.A. today and the new hall is looking gay with daintily decorated tables laden with good things. The arrangements are in the capable hands of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary and this will assure success in every direction. The programme promises good entertainment, and the speaker, Mr Vic Jones, of the Wellington Y.M.C.A., can be relied upon to give an interesting address. Mr Jones was trained in the Australian and American Y.M.C.A.’s, and before taking up his present position in . Wellington was one of the secretaries of the Honolulu Association. The banquet is timed to commence at 5.45 p.m. and seats may be booked at the Y.M.C.A.
