YOUNG FARMERS
LANTERN LECTURE ON WOOL. MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. A lantern lecture on wool was given at the monthly meeting of the Masterton Young Farmers’ Club last evening by Mr E. Duncan, of the Department of Agriculture, Wellington. The chairman, Mr D. McGregor, presided. Members of the Carterton and Greytown clubs were among those present. Mr Duncan’s address, which proved most informative and interesting, was followed with close attention and a vote of thanks was carried by acclamation. Details were received of a sheep shearing competition to be held in Palmerston North in November. It was decided to pay a visit to the Carterton Club on October 14, and also to hold a ping pong match between the Masterton and Carterton clubs, to be followed by a dance.
