SWIMMING CLUB (“Times-Age” Special) At the annual meeting of the Greytown Swimming Club, the election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr W. A. Tate; president, Mr J. F. Thompson; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Keltie, A. W. Horton, F. J. Brooks, F. Dennes, C. W. Brown, J. W. Bernard; management committee, I. Faulkner, W. Nix, W. Brown, Misses B. Cadwallader, M. McAlpine; club captain, W. Nix; vice-captain, C. Workman; local officer, R. Pickard; delegates to Centre, Messrs Oldershaw and B. Tackley; ladies committee, Mesdames H. Keltie, F. Dennes, C. W. Brown, C. J. Nix, R. H. Anker; handicapper, R. Pickard; secretary and treasurer, to be appointed by incoming committee; auditor, Mr G. Scrimgeour. The acting secretary, Mr A. Harp, who is now residing in Masterton, asked to be relieved of his duties. It was decided to record on the minutes of the club, appreciation of the services of Mr A. Harp as acting secretary during the unexpired portion of the season. A loss of £6 on the year’s operations was reported, due to the unfavourable weather conditions, which prevailed.
