CARTERTON
P. & A. SOCIETY SHOW. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Wairarapa P. and A. Society is encountering severe opposition this year, owing to the Waikato Royal Show fixture being held on one of the local show dates. The Wairarapa officials have met the position in their customary spirited manner, and with the loyal support of former exhibitors, together with many new ones, a suc- ’ ’ cessful show can be assured. For many years the Wairarapa Show has enjoyed deserved popularity with stock owners, who can be relied upon to send their animals to Carterton if it is at all possible. This has come about owing to the hospitable manner in which exhibitors are treated on their arrival, during their stay in Carterton, and right up till the time they leave on the homeward journey. This reputation was gained over a quarter of a century ago, when the late Mr G. W. Deller was -the chief steward of the Entertainment Committee. Since then the good work has been carried on by successive committees.
