FRANCE GRATEFUL

M. DALADIER’S MESSAGE TO MR CHAMBERLAIN EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION IN CRISIS. SURE PLEDGE OF FUTURE PEACE. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) PARIS, October 4. Thanking Mr Neville Chamberlain for his message of Sunday the French Premier, M. Daladier, says: “Your message has profoundly touched the French nation. Your feelings correspond with mine. France, during the crisis, felt that the Anglo-French bonds of cordial friendship and esteem were still tighter. Like my compatriots I admired your burning desire for peace and great and firm comprehension of vital Anglo-French interests and France’s particular obligations. Our collaboration does not exclude any other understanding. I am convinced that it will remain the surest pledge of future peace.”
