CARRIER INJURED
KNOCKED DOWN BY TRUCK IN RAILWAY YARDS. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) BLENHEIM, October 4. Walter Todd, aged 50, a carrier of Picton, was knocked down by a truck in the Picton railway yards this morning, receiving severe injuries to his left leg on which the truck stopped. He was reading a consignment card on the end of a stationary truck which was struck by a rake of trucks that were being shunted from the opposite end.
