GOLF COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Thursday afternoon the Carterton ladies played the Featherston ladies at the Gum Grove links when the Featherston team were victorious (Carterton players mentioned first in each instance): —Mrs Callendar lost to Miss Collins: Miss Campbell lost to Mrs Collins; Mrs Murray lost to Miss Nix; Mrs McKenzie lost to Mrs Benton; Miss Lamb lost to Miss Williams; Mrs Riggs and Mrs Davis all square; Mrs Robinson lost to Mrs Carlyon; Mrs Moroney lost to Mrs Burke; Mrs Forbes lost to Mrs McCarty: Miss Ruane beat Mrs McGill. The ladies played a medal round on Gumgrove Links on Wednesday afternoon with the following result: —Miss Williams and Mrs Davies, 1; Mrs Carlyon, 3. The following will represent the Wairarapa Club in a match against Masterton at Masterton on Saturday: D. Cameron, D. C. Collins, W. N. Rowles, K. H. Allen, N. C. C. Shepherd, G. O’Neale. W. B. Fountain, E. Bidwill, B. Feast, H. Lawson, J. W. Card, T. Lang, L. G. Benton, A. C. Pearce, A. Barton, N. R. Bloxam, H. C. Pearce, W. Pope, D. C. Kibblewhite. Any player who is unable to make the trip is asked to notify Mr D. C. Collins as soon as convenient.
