PERSONAL (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs W. Greathead, of Kuratawhiti Street, is on a visit to Palmerston North. Mr G. Maloney has received notification that he has been successful in passing the theory examination for the A grade badge conducted under the New Zealand Hockey Umpires Association. Mr Maloney has now passed examinations for both women’s and men’s hockey umpiring with A grade passes. School Additions. The Greytown school committee has received the plans of the proposed additions to the secondary department of the Greytown District High School. When the work has been completed, 'it will be of great benefit to the commercial pupils who, for many years, have been accommodated in the cooking room. Junior Hockey Team. The following is the Greytown junior team to play Wesley B at Greytown: —Bouzaid, Skeet, Hiscox, Hay, Day, Walsh, Barnard, McKenzie, Dennes, Harris, Harris, Emergencies, Keltic, Trotman, Knight. Election Campaign. Mr J. F. Thompson, National candidate for Wairarapa, addressed a meeting of settlers at the Ahiaruhe cheese factory. Mr A. Booth presided and Mr Thompson was very cordially received. In his address at Gladstone Mr Thompson was asked several questions and his answers were. well received. Mr D. McGregor occupied the chair, and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the speaker.
