MILK PRODUCERS
FORMATION OF DOMINION FEDERATION. PRODUCTION COSTS AS BASIS FOR PRICES. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 22. A decision to establish a New Zealand federation of milk producers was reached at a conference attended by representatives of milk producers’ organisations from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch .and Dunedin. Mr J. J. Maher, chairman of the Wellington Dairy Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., presided. The following resolutions were carried unanimously: “That this conference of milk producers’ representatives expresses the opinion that the cost of production should be the basis for the fixation of prices for city milk supply. “That the conference of delegates be held at Wellington from this time.”
