PRICE OF BUTTER
RAISED BY SOME RETAILERS UNFAIRLY. ACCORDING TO MINISTER OF MARKETING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 22. The Hon W. Nash, Minister of Marketing, made the following statement today:—“The Government has been advised that some storekeepers are charging abnormal prices for butter, alleging on account of the increase in the guaranteed price. This constitutes an unfair practice, as all butter sold to retailers and wholesalers up to the present has been charged at 1937-38 prices.” ■
