CARTERTON
BUILDING SOCIETY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Terminating Building Society was held jast night in the P. and A. Rooms. There was an appropriation of £6OO by sale, but as no tenders were forthcoming the £6OO was balloted for. Mr Gordon Hughan drew the marble which was No. 856 belonging to Mr N. C. C. Shepherd, of Featherston. It was decided that another appropriation of £6OO by sale be offered on October 19. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs N. R. Armstrong (secretary) and C. Reid (Clareville) one of the directors. Pre-Wedding Function. On Wednesday night Mr Brian Feast was entertained by a number of bachelor friends at a musical evening to mark the occasion of his forthcoming marriage to Miss Trotman, of Grey town.
