WAIRARAPA SEAT

ADDRESSES AT TAWAHA AND HINAKURA. MR J. F. THOMPSON’S CAMPAIGN. On Monday last Mr J. F. Thompson, National candidate for Wairarapa, visited the Tawaha Settlement which had recently suffered by flood. His views on the question of protection was listened to intently. The National Party policy in this respect was fully explained. In the evening Mr Thompson addressed the largest political meeting ever held at Hinakura. Mr A. Sutherland occupied the chair. The meeting was enthusiastic throughout. Mr Thompson was very well received and his address was listened to with interest. At the conclusion Mr Thompson was thanked for his very able and interesting address.
