CZECH OPPOSITION
OPINION RANGED STRONGLY AGAINST PLAN BOUND TO BE HEEDED BY GOVERNMENT. ACCORDING TO BRITISH CORRESPONDENT. (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, September 20. . The “Daily Telegraph’s" Prague correspondent says the universal opinion is that the Czechs will not accept the settlement plan as it stands. Public opinion is so strongly opposed to the plan that it is not imaginable that this opposition will be neglected by the' Government. ACCEPTANCE URGED. FRANCO-BRITISH ACTION. (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, September 20. It is authoritatively stated that the French and British Ministers at Prague have been instructed to call on the Czech Foreign Minister (Dr Krofta)' and. urge acceptance of the Franco* British proposals in view of the urgency of the situation.
